DIRECTV is to provide full coverage of Wimbledon 2013 on ESPN Extra and ESPN 3D for viewers in Argentina, Caribbean, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.
Roger Federer and Serena Williams will defend their titles at the 127th edition of Wimbledon, held at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London. Between 24-28 June, Federer will be taking on Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal. Williams will face off against Maria Sharapova, Victoria Azarenka and Agnieszka Radwanska.
DIRECTV customers can tap the Wimbledon experience through Mosaic Interactive, an exclusive application that will be available on channels 601 and 638. The tool offers a split-screen view of the live action as well as an interactive menu offering championship results and statistics. Added to this is the new technology enabling viewers to enjoy games in three dimensions on channel 1003 of the digital pay-TV operator, including both the men’s and women’s finals.
