Channel Nine has retained the rights to Australian cricket coverage in a five-year deal with Cricket Australia, worth approximately AUD$500 million.

The channel will show Australian test, one-day international and Twenty20 international matches in an extension of its previous seven-year deal.

Meanwhile, Channel Ten, which put in a rival bid for the rights, is said to have secured a deal to broadcast the Big Bash League, worth AUD$20 million a year.
