German sports broadcaster sportdigital has become available in neighbouring Switzerland for the first time: The country’s largest cable operator UPC Cablecom has added the pay-TV channel to its line-up.
Distribution is within subscription package Comfort – initially in standard definition.
By the end of 2013, sportdigital wants to commence its long-planned HD transmission. The channel specialising in international football coverage will then also be carried in high definition by UPC Cablecom
