HDTV continues to rise in France

HDTV continues to rise in France:

HDTV continued to expand in France over the second quarter of 2013 with 79.4% of TV households now owning HDTV sets.

According to figures from Médiamétrie and GfK, this rise represents a three point growth over one year, with total TV households equipped reaching 22 million.

HDTV is also attracting a larger audience, with more women and people aged over 65. And 91% of families with children under 15 have turned to HD, 12 points above the average figure.

38.1% of HDTV households are also subscribing to a pay-TV package and these households are also more likely to get ADSL or satellite TV.
