Sky Atlantic to launch SD version in Germany

German pay-TV operator Sky Deutschland is to make Sky Atlantic HD available to viewers without HD reception equipment.
The channel, which screens the series of US broadcaster HBO as German TV premieres, will launch a standard resolution (SD) simulcast on 3 December 2013.
Sky Atlantic SD and Sky Atlantic HD will be available to all subscribers of the Sky film package via satellite, on all cable networks and on IPTV platforms Entertain and Vodafone TV.
Sky Deutschland will also extend the reach of Sky Action HD. The channel will be made available on the cable networks of Kabel Deutschland, Unitymedia and Kabel BW, and on further cable networks on 4 December 2013.
