Pascale Paoli-Lebailly | 28-11-2013
Lagardère Active’s TV division, which operates the children’s channels Canal j, TiJi and Gulli in France, is set to launch a Christmas event channel, Telekanal Deda Moroza, in Russia, from 1 December 2013 to 31 January 2014.
The French media group already operates the popular kids’ channels TiJi Russia (ТиЖи) and Gulli Russia (Гулли) in the country.
Telekanal Deda Moroza will be available on the Rostelecom IPTV offer to more than 1.5 million subscribers.
This is the first Russian version of the French event channel, La Chaîne du Père Noël, which has been shown exclusively on Canalsat for the last two years, and whose 2013 edition will go live from 1 December to 5 January.
Children will be able to find dedicated seasonal programming including exclusive series such as Chris &Mas, as well as family and TV movies. Traditional Russian tales like The Snow Queen (Ledyanaya Vnuchka, 1966) and animated series Smeshariki are also part of the line-up.
Telekanal Deda Moroza’s official website is accessible via www.dedmoroztv.com.
Lagardère Active’s TV division operates 12 family, youth, young adults and music theme channels into 46 countries worldwide.
TiJi and Gulli’s Russian version launched in 2009 in association with Universal Distribution. They’re carried on all major pay-TV operators, satellite, IPTV and cable in both Russia and nearby countries.
