The new German travel channel Marco Polo TV will go on air on 2 December 2013 on Eutelsat’s German direct-to-cable platform KabelKiosk.

Subscribers to the Family HD package will be able to receive the pay-TV channel without additional charge.

Marco Polo TV will report about cities and travel destinations and present sightseeing opportunities, restaurants, shopping locations and overnight accommodation – from Amsterdam to Zurich, to Berlin and New York.

Marco Polo TV, which will gain access to more than 300 partner networks through KabelKiosk, received a broadcast licence from the German media authorities in September 2013. The channel is backed by German travel guide publisher MairDumont and media entrepreneur Jörg Schütte.
