Unitymedia Kabel BW gains TAG Immobilien

German housing company TAG Immobilien is to provide the tenants of its apartments with cable TV, Internet and telephony from Unitymedia Kabel BW following a long-term supply contract signed with the German cable operator.
The tenants of around 2,700 apartments in federal states North-Rhine Westphalia, Hessen and Baden-Württemberg will be able to receive digital TV and radio channels in addition to analogue channels, foreign-language services and pay-TV packages in standard and high definition.
Multimedia plugs will be installed in all apartments by March 2014 for this purpose. The monthly cable TV fee will include Internet access with a data rate of 1Mbps for all TAG tenants. For a surcharge, they will be able to upgrade the speed to up to 150Mbps.
Unitymedia Kabel BW has previously been one of several cable TV suppliers for TAG Immobilien, a spokesman of the cable company told Rapid TV News. Through the new contract the situation will be unified.
