Editor | 22-02-2014
With the UK being a hotbed of video streaming, the Wuaki.tv streaming film and online TV service has added its entire on-demand catalogue to the Samsung WatchON app.
Under the terms of the deal, Samsung WatchON users can access Wuaki.tvs catalogue of films and TV shows directly through the Android app on their mobile or tablet.
Wuaki.tv claims to provide a unique streaming subscription and rental service, where users can choose between a monthly subscription to the Wuaki.tv Selection, a regularly-refreshed catalogue of movies and TV series from major Hollywood studios and UK distributors, or rental and purchase of newly released blockbusters and TV shows, all through a single service. Wuaki.tvs existing range of device and tablet apps already runs on platforms including the iPad, iPhones, Samsung, LG and Panasonic Smart TVs and the Xbox One console.
The entire Wuaki.tv catalogue can now be accessed through the video tab in the WatchON app, allowing users to rent, purchase or watch subscription content on demand. The app also syncs with Samsung Smart TVs, allowing users to begin watching a mobile on their phone or tablet and beam it directly to a big screen TV instantly. The WatchOn app will then switch to a second screen, providing viewers with details of the movie or TV show theyre watching.
Having already partnered with Samsung to provide Wuaki.tv on its big screen Smart TVs, were now shifting Wuaki.tv to the smaller mobile screen by integrating with the Samsungs WatchON app, said Jacinto Roca, CEO of Wuaki.tv. Wuaki.tv is dedicated to making the concept of the second screen a reality, adapting to the changing viewing habits of audiences to make it easier and more convenient for them to watch their favourite movies and TV shows wherever they are, with all the information they could want.
