Sony has announced it will deliver 30 new HD studio cameras to Atresmedia which intends to restructure its HD productions, centralising equipment control.

Atresmedia has purchased 30 HDC-1700 cameras, based on CCD and 3G fibre optic configuration. The cameras can record on 1080/50i, 1080/25P and 1080/50P, depending on production needs. Through the 3G fibre connection the software can be temporarily or permanently actualised to meet the resolution demands.

The media group has already purchased 14 HDC-1400R cameras, which are compatible with Sony’s new model.

Atresmedia is looking to reinforce the HD production of its own shows, which are broadcast on Antena 3 and laSexta.
