TVN delivers record-breaking online TV performance

Clearly on a roll, and only weeks after shaking up its management team, Polish media group TVN has revealed that it turned in the best performance ever for its online TV offering in November 2013.
According to research carried out by Megapanel, TVN websites had nearly 5.9 million real users and a record-breaking reach of 27.7%. In addition survey work by gemiusProfile found that in the same month, 4.3 million PC-based viewers watched 44.4 million online video streams of TVN content.
TVN’s tvnplayer.pl video-on-demand (VOD) service was visited by nearly 2.3 million PC viewers, another record, resulting in a 10.7% reach. The TVN Player had the strongest user engagement among all VOD platforms in Poland, with the average time per tvnplayer.pl user in November 2013 totalling seven hours and 34 minutes.
“TVN’s high quality news and locally produced content are the main drivers behind the strong response from online users,” said Maciej Maciejowski, TVN’s head of new business development, commenting on the findings. “Having accomplished an excellent position in the online video segment we expect further dynamic growth of our reach and drive high quality inventory to satisfy advertisers’ growing demand for online video advertising.”
