The Orange Cinéma Séries (OCS) bouquet launched by the eponymous operator five years ago, has signed a new contract with French regulator the CSA in which it will in domestic and Euro creative projects.
OCS—which offers five channels including HBO Jv OCS City—will invest €179 million over the next five years into the movie industry and will place in all 6% of its resources into audiovisual creation and independent content. It will also back more French speaking movies whose budget is equal or less than €6.5 million. An OCS label will also be given to movies under a €4 million budget.
“OCS reasserts it backs the whole movie industry, from production to distribution and theatre release. It also engages into pre-acquisitions and catch-up TV among other additional funding,” the group said in a statement.
