Cygnus signs first broadcast customer for Thuraya IP+

Thuraya service partner Cygnus has extended its relationship with Al Aan TV with the deployment of Thuraya IP+ terminals, the latest addition to Thurayas expanding portfolio of mobile satellite broadband terminals.
Thuraya IP+ claims to be the fastest and lightest mobile satellite broadband terminal, designed to achieve the fastest IP speeds.
Al Aan TVs head of technical, Raad Haddadin, said: “We evaluated the Thuraya IP+ and were impressed with the terminals outstanding features. The terminal meets our stringent requirements for security, reliability and portability for our field correspondents who have come to rely on Thurayas mobile satellite products and services to bring the news to our viewers.”
Cygnuss managing director, Shabeer Mohammad, said: “We are excited about Thurayas latest innovation for the mobile broadband market and see great potential for the Thuraya IP+ in our key markets and across a multitude of market sectors.
