Sky News Arabia partners with datamena for content management

Sky News Arabia has selected datamena to build a content management facility for its Abu Dhabi studios.
“Sky News Arabia will enjoy world class data centre and connectivity services from datamena as a result of our new partnership,” said Mahesh Jaishankar, vice president, datamena.
The UAE’s data centre and connectivity platform serves the Middle East and Africa. With the partnership, Sky News Arabia’s point of presence (PoP) will now be connected directly to the Samacom Teleport and Sky News Arabia’s international network.
“datamena’s proposition will provide us with the level of security and connectivity we need to strengthen our news gathering capabilities,” said Dominic Baillie, chief technical officer, Sky News Arabia.
Other companies that have signed up to datamena services include Vodafone Qatar, Cable and Wireless and Level 3.
