FOX hails coup for Oscar-winning films

Claiming to have triumphed at the Academy Awards ceremony, FOX International Channels is celebrating five awards for two films to which it has acquired the pay-TV broadcast rights in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia.
Both 12 Years a Slave, which won Best Picture, and Best Animated Feature Frozen will run on FOX Movies Premium, FIC’s premier Hollywood movie channel.
“There is no film event in the world more prestigious than the Oscars, and any film, actor, director, or other creative talent who wins the coveted award knows that they have reached the pinnacle of the industry,” said Brian Lau, Senior Vice President of Content and Communications at FIC Asia. “We are proud to have acquired these Oscar-winning and nominated films because they are emblematic of the quality and care we strive to bring to our viewers every day.”
