The popular American comedy sketch show Saturday Night Live has made its China debut on online video site Sohu Video.
The programme will be available online in its original version without subtitles the Monday after the latest episode is shown in the US. A version with Chinese subtitles will be available at 10pm the following Saturday.
Sohu CEO Charles Zhang said: “The younger generation is growing up in a connected world with greater English proficiency and culturally they are fans of celebrities overseas - it’s worldwide. Just from the traffic, we know they are enjoying American TV episodes.”
