TF1 Group has announced the development of its mobile apps as 4G is starting to be deployed in France.

The MyTF1 and MYTF1News apps will now offer users the ability to temporarily download catch-up broadcast TV programmes to watch without being connected. Users will also be able to control the live feeds more easily and go back to the beginning of a show while at the same time benefiting from better image quality.

“Mobile networks’ evolution and the arrival of 4G are about to make mobile video easier and better accessible,” the group states.

For TF1, 4G is an opportunity for mobile video as downloading a 90-minute show will take no more than a few minutes.
