Vinson is aiming to make mobile TV more social with the launch of new ways to share TV moments through its app, and a ‘like’ feature that’s integrated with the programme timeline.
Vinson is designed to encourage deep social integration with TV, using Facebook, Twitter and Google Maps to enable users to discuss, share and sync TV moments with friends directly from a mobile app.
The company was spun out of the Dutch company Triple IT to create a mobile over-the-top (OTT) solution with a white-label application for broadcasters, content aggregators and content distributors that combines live, on-demand and social possibilities. Vinson launched in February 2013.
The new features will be revealed at IBC, held on September 13 - 17 in Amsterdam.
