Canal Panda launches its first production
Juan Fernandez Gonzalez | 01-07-2013
Canal Panda continues to grow and strengthen its position among the children’s pay-TV audience with the release of the channel’s first self-produced show and its launch on cable platform Euskaltel.
Chello Multicanal’s channel is today premiering Panda & Nico, a show which focused on teaching children how to eat in a balanced way. The show looks to interact with parents and children through food, science and easy games which can be also done at home.
Since Cartoon Network and Cartoonito recently left the pay-TV platforms, the rest of the children’s channels have been fighting to take their place. Currently Boing, which is broadcast through DTT and exclusively premieres Turner content, has the top audience figures.
Canal Panda has also started to be broadcast on Euskaltel this weekend, taking the slot left by Cartoon Network. Chello’s channel is now available on Canal+, ONO, Movistar TV and the main local cable platforms. Panda, which started airing two years ago, has also been live streaming its whole schedule since April
