Movile Play Kids expands premium mobile TV app across Latin America

Movile’s Play Kids, a subscription-based mobile entertainment app for preschool children, is expanding into 24 additional countries. It has also added 20 new shows for kids to choose from, which will vary by location.
Play Kids now reaches more than 1.5 million mobile and tablet preschool users via its iOS and Android applications, in Brazil, the US, the UK and Canada. Movile said that it plans to double its audience in the next year.
Play Kids’ Apple version of the app is launching in the new regions of: France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Mexico and every country in Latin America.
Among the new shows coming to Play Kids are perennial favourites like Barney & Friends, Arthur and Thomas & Friends, as well as newer hits such as YoGabbaGabba, Bob the Builder and Strawberry Shortcake.
“With the addition of our educational activities in the app and these popular shows for children, we’re continuing to curate the perfect mix of educational, fun and well-produced content,” said Eduardo Henrique, Movile’s co-founder and head of US operations. “We strive to bring our high quality, interactive user experience to children all over the world, and we are excited to launch amazing new shows in many new countries today.”
