Middle East fitness channel Physique TV goes on air

Physique TV, a dedicated fitness and health channel available in both Arabic and English, has launched across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) via the Arabsat-based satellite platform My-HD.
Also now available on du and Etisalat’s Internet protocol television (IPTV) services in the UAE, Starlight General Trading (STG) Group-owned Physique airs both in-house productions and acquired motivational programming.
Home exercise shows such as Yoga Today and Crunch are mixed with high octane action sport programmes MMA All Out and Maximum Rush, and fitness-oriented reality TV like Love in the Wild, All the Right Moves and Push Girls. Cookery shows will be represented by Cooking with Siba and Week in a Day with Rachael Ray.
“We are very excited to bring this new TV channel concept to the region. Physique TV has a responsibility beyond just informing and instructing our audience. We want to inspire them enough to look after themselves whether that is in the choice of food they buy and cook or the time allocated for exercise,” said Peter Einstein, general manager, Physique TV.
“In a region where the biggest personal threats are unhealthy diet and sedentary lifestyle, our goal is to cater for everyone interested in personal well-being and make it easier for people to create a good work/life balance in their daily lives.”
