KTIV and CableOne have come to an agreement on the retransmission of KTIV’s NBC and CW stations in Sioux City and Norfolk, Iowa.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed, but added features under the new arrangement include the CW being carried in high definition, and the addition of KTIV 4.3, aka Me-TV Siouxland, to the CableOne line-up.
The existing agreement was set to expire at midnight on Saturday, but negotiations came through.
"I’m just very grateful to the many viewers who I have personally spoken to, who have expressed their support of our television station, and who called CableOne," said Jerry Watson, KTIV vice president and general manager. "I’m also thankful that CableOne was able to come to the middle with us. The truth is, at the end of the day, our concern was our viewers and their concern was their customers."
