The new Internet TV platform Magine has launched its beta test in Germany, with potential users being able to apply for a free-of-charge trial account.



Interested parties can sign up on the website http://www.magine.com.


In addition to the free-to-air channels of broadcast group Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland, which recently signed a carriage deal with Magine, the line-up comprises ZDF, Eurosport, Eurosport 2, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, VIVA and DMAX an Bord. The channel portfolio will be expanded in the next months.

In autumn 2013, Swedish competitor Zattoo is aiming to launch its regular subscription-based service in Germany. Access will be possibly through connected TV sets, computers, smartphones and tablets including the iPhone and iPad.
