euronews has launched its international news service on the Colombian national channel Señal Institucional.
Following a new distribution agreement signed with Señal Colombia Sistema de Medios Públicos, the euronews Spanish service will transmit a 30-minute broadcast every weekday from 01:30pm (local time).
Señal Colombia Sistema de Medios Públicos, a state-owned telecommunications company has the largest free-to-air broadcast network with the greatest geographical coverage of the country.
The partnership makes euronews available to all 12 million TV-equipped households in Colombia, giving the channel a potential audience of some 40 million.
